Jason Harris returns for his third year as assistant coach of the Maryland Women's Crew Team. Jason's fresh point of view provides an environment that enables Maryland to become a national power.
Jason's experience as a rower in the University of Maryland club system provides an unparalleled perspective to success as a club regarding the relationship with the Student Government Association, Campus Recreation Services, and University of Maryland Mens Crew Team.
Jason began coaching novice crews his junior year for the University of Maryland Men's Crew Team while rowing. Upon graduation, he remained in College Park, and began coaching the Womens Crew Team as an assistant.
Jason started rowing at the University of Maryland in Spring 2001. Jason has been a member of the Mens Crew team competing as a bow in numerous boats including 2001 Novice 8, 2002-2003 Lightweight 4. In May 2004, Jasons Lightweight 4 advanced to the semi-finals of the Dad Vail Regatta. Graduating with a degree in Mathematics in 2004, Jason became one of the first rowers for Maryland Crew to row all four years in college. Jason has seen Maryland crew evolve through all stages of club-hood, and looks to bring Womens Crew to the next level.
Professionally, Jason works for the State of Maryland. Jason is pursing a Master's Degree in Accounting and certification as a certified public accountant.
